To fix this though, Meta-owned WhatsApp has finally launched its latest update that now lets you transfer your WhatsApp chat history from Android to iOS using Apple's Move to iOS app.

Minimum Software Requirements


1. First and foremost you need to make sure that you meet the minimum software requirements which include:


2. An Android smartphone running Android 5 Lollipop or above and a recent iPhone running iOS 15.5 or above.


3. You are setting up a new unboxed or reformatted iPhone because the transfer process cannot be started if your iPhone is already set up.


4. Both the iPhone and your Android smartphone are fully charged and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

How to Transfer Whatsapp Chat History from Android to iOS


Once you've met all the software requirements listed above, you're all set to transfer your WhatsApp chat history from Android to your great new iPhone, as we've shown below:


1. Begin the setup process on your iPhone and look for Apps & data screen. Then tap on move data from Android.


2. On your Android device, open the move to iOS app and accept all the terms and conditions. If you haven't installed it, tap the QR Code button on your new iOS device and scan it using your Android device.


3. Now a code will appear on your iPhone. When asked, enter the code on your Android device.


4. Continue following the on-screen prompts until you reach the Data Transfer screen on your Android device.


5. Select WhatsApp Data on the Data Transfer screen, then select all the important files you want to port to your new iPhone.


6. Once you have selected all the important data, you tap on Start and wait until WhatsApp extracts and repacks all your chat data.


7. Once the file is ready, tap Continue in Move to iOS to start the data transfer process and wait for the loading bar to finish. (This may take some time depending on the amount of files)


8. Once the loading bar is complete, move to ios will confirm that the transfer is complete.


9. Try searching for WhatsApp in the iOS home screen, which would have been installed automatically if you had chosen to search for and download a compatible app. If you can't find it install latest version of whatsapp from app store)


10. Now open WhatsApp and login using the same phone number you used on your Android device.

11 Now you will be asked to tap on Start and port all your chat history to your new iPhone to complete the activation process.


12. That's a lot and, although the process seems a bit lengthy, it's still worth the headache rather than losing all your important chats and conversations.
